Double Digits & VeggieTales

I am lovin' bein' in the double digits these days, ya'll!

1. The temperature outside (thank heavens) is stayin' consistently in the.....double digits

2. I have two wonderful men in my house....double digits (not really double digits, but there are two of them and they made messes big enough to equal double digits, so it counts!)

3. AND, I have now reached a whole 10 followers on my blog!.....double digits!!!!!! You know, when I started this blog it was just a way to release my inner newbie quilter frustrations...but now I have "met" the most wonderful quilty friends! Ya'll are just the best!

P.S. I know you've been waitin' to see my Christmas log cabin quilt, and I promise I'll work on it this weekend, but my favorite mom is getting an awesome new Bernina next week will all kinds of fancy stitches on it and I was wantin' to use one for my binding....oh I hate the binding! So maybe I'll get all of it but the fancy stitched binding and show ya'll next week, what do you think?!
P.S.S. Random Thought: For all of you out there in blogland who are familiar with VeggieTales and the random silly songs they sing, like: the Bunny Song "The Bunny, the Bunny, oh I love the Bunny..." Don'tcha think they should make one for quilters: "The Binding, the Binding, oh I hate the Binding!" I think it would totally catch on!

I'm with you on the "I hate the binding" song! Do you have time to come out and play this weekend?

Actually, the binding is one of my favorite things about quilting, it means it's almost finished.

FYI, did you know that one of the Veggie Tales writers is a good friend of mine? Yep, she gives us all kinds of Veggie Tale stuff. I think I may have to ask her to write a story about quilting now that you mention it!

You make me want to learn to quilt!

My favorite: "We are the pirates who don't do anything!"
